Bramall Lane is next for Man Utd

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United travel to South Yorkshire to face the organised Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday. It is the first of 11 games left for the Reds in 2019 in all competitions.

The visitors have been in good form of late having won five games out of six in all competitions while the hosts are unbeaten in their last 5 outings.

Chris Wilder's Sheffield United's return to the top flight has been so impressive to watch especially for neutrals. The Blades have stuck to their famous style of play from the Championship (which encourages overlapping centrebacks) to the Premier League and they've somehow managed to keep the majority of players that implemented this unique tactics so well.

Manchester United have to be at their clinical best if they are gunning for all three points at Bramall Lane as the hosts has the second best defence in the league after Leicester City, having conceded 9 goals in 12 games but the Reds can take some positives since all Sheffield United losses this season have been at home.

The encounter at Bramall Lane is a special one for Harry Maguire, who will be facing his boyhood club. The priciest defender in the world made his first team debut at 18 for the Blades and went on to register 166 appearances before moving to Hull City five years ago.

Team News

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, asserted that Marcos Rojo and the combative Scott McTominay have been added to the worrying injury list for United.

"Scott will be out for a little while, still," Ole told the club's official channel.

"He has not been training with us, he is still recovering and, hopefully, we can see him, maybe, around the time of Tottenham or Manchester City. We don't know yet."

Rojo was forced to withdraw from the just concluded international games and his manager is gutted for the Argentinian after impressing in recent games.

"Rojo got a muscle injury in training or he's been struggling wiht it, so he's been trying to get back," OGS told reporters.

"He's not ready yet. He was playing with some discomfort towards the end of that run. So maybe (he will be out for) a couple of weeks.

Manchester United are still without Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw, Timothy Fosu-Mensah to mention a few while the club could welcome a return for Nemanja Matic and the recently suspended Ashley Young. Meanwhile, the Blades will be without their first-choice goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, who is ineligible to face his parent club due to loan terms.
